Aaron Semana, PA

I have wanted to be in the medical field since I was a young child. Although I did not know it at the time, I was attracted to the intricacies of medicine and helping patients directly. I grew up in California and love every aspect of it. However, after obtaining my nursing degree I moved to Chicago to practice. I worked at Mount Sinai Hospital, one of the main trauma hospitals in the area. My experiences there helped me develop a strong work ethic, attention to detail and being adept at crisis management. After several years in Chicago, I decided to move back to the Bay Area and advance my career to become a Nurse Practitioner. I received my degree from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland. After completing my training, I decided to be a part of IPM Medical Group. I feel that I have excellent resources and support here to provide high quality care for my patients. My colleagues describe me as someone both my patients and coworkers can trust and rely on. I especially pride myself in always taking the extra effort to learn about each patient as if they were my own family members. My job as your NP is to provide safe, individualized care to all my patients to help alleviate your pain issues and get you back to better health.

Alice Bolick, PA

Welcome to my Bio! Thank you for allowing me to share a bit about myself and my role as a PA (Physician Assistant) in Pain Management/PM&R. What is “Pain Management"? This specialty is a branch of medicine that employs a multidisciplinary approach with the goal to reduce pain to a manageable level and improve quality of life. The nature of pain is complex and includes a wide spectrum of conditions including neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal pain, and spinal pain. I appreciate the complexity of this specialty and the various conditions. I take honor in being able to treat and educate patients on their condition. I am one of several PAs and NPs in the Walnut Creek location. I feel privileged to work with a wonderful group of clinicians and physicians. My role as a PA in this department is clinic-based and performing minor procedures (local injections). I consult with providers within the practice if needed, and refer based on individual patient needs. I love what I do and I take great responsibility in the role of my patient’s provider. My goal is to provide you with the attention and care that you deserve as a patient. What is a PA? We are certified healthcare providers with a medical education that permit us to make diagnostic (labs, imaging) and therapeutic decisions while working autonomously, but we do work closely with supervising Physician(s). We also collaborate with other members of the healthcare team. PAs can work in many specialties as a clinician or assist in surgery. Like physicians and NPs, PAs must complete extensive continuing medical education throughout their careers. I was born in France and grew up between the US and overseas. I moved to the Bay Area about 8 years ago. I love this area; we are surrounded by culture, diversity, wonderful food, and a staggering array of ecosystems. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, cooking, and being with my family. I am blessed to have two sons who keep me on my toes. I would like to thank you sincerely for allowing me to take part in your care and I look forward to meeting you. Undergraduate: Arizona State University (Bachelor of Sciences and Bachelor of Arts).
