Andrea Balogh recently became the Chief Executive Officer of Boomerang Healthcare, the West Coast’s leading provider of comprehensive pain management services for workers’ compensation, personal injury, commercial and Medicare/Medicaid patients. As Boomerang’s new CEO, Andrea is leading the charge to improve each patient’s journey to return to a productive life.  Prior to joining Boomerang, Andrea was the Chief Growth Officer and Chief Legal Officer of Integrated Oncology Network, LLC. As ION’s first Chief Growth Officer, Andrea took a holistic approach to new and existing market development focusing on both market and subspecialty expansion in order to create coordinated care models in each market. ION was acquired in 2024 by Cardinal Health, Inc. Prior to joining Integrated Oncology Network, Andrea served as Division President and Chief Legal Officer of Women’s Health USA which was acquired by Unified Women’s Healthcare in 2021. At Whusa, Andrea led the company’s Western expansion into Arizona, Texas and Nevada as well as the legal and compliance teams. Andrea brings over 20 years of mergers and acquisitions experience to BHC, having previously served as General Counsel for Prodigy Health Group and Meritain Health during its period of rapid expansion and subsequent sale to Aetna Inc. in 2011

Annu Navani, MD – Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Annu Navani is the Chief Medical Officer for Boomerang Healthcare, with 20+ years of experience in the medical industry. Dr. Navani completed her Anesthesiology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and a fellowship in Pain Medicine from the University of California, Davis. Over the last decade and a half, she has served as Founder and CEO of Comprehensive Spine and Sports Center. Dr. Navani is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at the Division of Pain at Stanford University. Annu sits on the Editorial Board of the journal, Pain Physician and serves on the board of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, The Ortho Biologic Institute Networks, California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery, and California Society of Interventional Pain
Physicians. She has also authored several national guidelines including opioids, interventional spine epidural procedures, facet joints, and biologics in the lumbar spine.
 

Melissa Cronn Ciccarelli – Chief Growth Officer

Melissa Cronn Ciccarelli is the Chief Growth Officer for Boomerang Healthcare, where she leads enterprise growth strategy, market expansion, service-line development, and strategic partnerships. She brings more than 20 years of national, multisite healthcare senior leadership experience, specializing in organic and inorganic growth, service-line launches, managed care strategy, physician alignment, operational performance improvement, and brand value creation. Melissa has held senior leadership roles across many specialties, consistently driving transformative growth and strengthening access to high-quality care. Prior to joining Boomerang, Melissa served as Senior Vice President of National Market Strategy & Growth for Integrated Oncology Network, LLC where she developed local and national brand and growth strategies, launched multiple de novo clinics, negotiated major hospital partnerships, supported key acquisitions, and led multi-state market expansion initiatives. ION was acquired in 2024 by Cardinal Health, Inc.

Kasra Amirdelfan, MD – Vice President of Business Development

Dr. Kasra Amirdelfan is the Vice President of Business Development and the Director of Clinical Research at Boomerang Healthcare, with 25+ years of experience in the healthcare industry. He received his medical degree from Texas A&M University, College of Medicine and completed his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, an affiliated facility with UT Southwestern School of Medicine. Dr. Amirdelfan completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Pacific Pain Treatment Centers, in collaboration with California Pacific Medical Centers in San Francisco. He has authored over 90 scientific peer-reviewed publications in his specialty. He serves as the Vice President of Clinical Affairs and an executive board member of the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience (ASPN). He is also one of the founders of the Pacific Spine & Pain Society (PSPS).
