Dr. Jeff Chen is a specialist in interventional pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is double boarded with certification from the American Board of Pain Medicine as well as the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Chen graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1999 and went on to complete medical school training at UTMB in Galveston, Texas in 2003. He completed residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation with Southwestern University in Dallas, Texas in 2007. He then relocated to California to complete his fellowship in interventional pain management with IPM Medical Group.
Dr. Chen has an interest in interventional spine care and performs spinal interventional procedures such as interlaminar epidural injections, transforaminal epidural injections, medial branch blocks, and radiofrequency ablation. Dr. Chen also performs electrodiagnostic studies to evaluate and diagnose nerve injuries. He is available to see patients in our Walnut Creek and Antioch offices.
Dr. Chen now lives in the East Bay area with his wife. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
