I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a master’s degree from USC. I specialize in trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression. My therapeutic techniques include Directive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I frequently use Directive Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as they help build a shared understanding of the client’s reality and current goals, enabling us to work together to chart a path forward.
My style and approach are well-suited for individuals of all ages who are dealing with past challenges and current life transitions, often manifesting as anxiety, depression, and stress. I assist my clients in navigating these transitions and developing effective skills to foster a more positive outlook on life. Additionally, I help clients identify coping skills to manage symptoms and behaviors as they arise. My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I strive to create a comfortable environment where clients feel safe discussing anything, and I take pride in my ability to listen without judgment.
I became a therapist because I have always wanted to help people. Growing up in a cultural family that lacked an understanding of anxiety and depression, I recognized the importance of learning about emotions and behaviors. I pride myself on being a trusted and loyal friend and have always been naturally drawn to helping others through difficult times. I find joy in seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves. My approach to goal-setting with clients involves working collaboratively to define what you want to achieve during our time together. This process begins with building trust and becoming comfortable with the therapeutic process. Over time, we will set goals and track your progress together.
