Dr. Derek Ko is a chiropractor originally from the San Francisco Bay Area who is passionate about restoring function, improving quality of life, and helping patients return to the activities that matter most to them. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Sciences from The University of Hong Kong and his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West. With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Ko has cared for patients from all walks of life—from competitive athletes to older adults—throughout the Bay.
Dr. Ko began his career working alongside professional and semi-professional athletes in CrossFit, football, tennis, and collegiate baseball, where he developed a strong foundation in movement assessment, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. Over the years, his practice has expanded to include extensive experience caring for older adults, medically complex patients, and underserved communities. His approach combines chiropractic care with rehabilitation, patient education, and evidence-informed treatment strategies. He believes the best outcomes come from empowering patients to understand their condition, actively participate in their recovery, and regain confidence in their movement.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ko enjoys riding his motorcycle, fishing, spending time with his partner and their two dogs, and volunteering together with a local LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization that supports and advocates for the community
