Dr. Fernandez studied at Columbia University in New York before earning his medical degree in Philadelphia, where his interest in anatomy and function led him to specialize in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He focuses on interventional pain medicine, treating spine injuries, amputations, traumatic brain injuries, and complex musculoskeletal problems. His approach emphasizes conservative care first, including physical therapy, chiropractic, and acupuncture. Medications and procedures are introduced only when most appropriate. His expertise includes epidural and trigger point injections as well as regenerative therapies such as platelet-rich plasma and prolotherapy.
