Floriana Masia moved to the Bay Area from the Philippines as a child and has lived in the Bay ever since. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis in 2018. Before attending physician assistant school, she worked in emergency departments and cancer clinics, where she witnessed firsthand the significant impact chronic pain can have on patients’ quality of life.
Floriana recently earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Bay Path University in 2025. During her clinical rotations, she cared for underserved communities in Oakland and San Jose, many of whom were living with chronic pain. These experiences strengthened her commitment to helping patients effectively manage pain. She is passionate about partnering with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that help them return to the activities they enjoy most.
In her free time, Floriana enjoys traveling, playing sports, reading, and spending time with friends and family, as well as her three cats.
