Speaker Series for CRPS Awareness

Join us in raising awareness for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) during the month of November with our special online speaker series! Patients with a CRPS diagnosis, providers, and others interested in learning more are invited to join us every Wednesday in November. Learn more about the experience of CRPS, gain knowledge of resources and educational materials, and connect with others.

Michele Rice is from San Jose, California where she was a 4th grade school teacher until a slip-and-fall at work in 2000 led to a diagnosis of RSD/CRPS. Michele was featured in the 2015 issue of the INvisible Project and became an Ambassador and an Advocate for U.S. Pain Foundation. In 2017, she received the Joselynn Badman Ambassador of the Year Award.

Elena Juris lives with CRPS and is the author of “Positive Options for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.” She has developed patient and professional health education programs and materials for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and companies such as the American Cancer Society, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Pfizer. She is currently the Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Training Center, providing training and development services to the NIH’s 27 Institutes and Centers.
